Amanda completed her Bachelor of Engineering (Hons) in Civil and Environmental Engineering at the University of Auckland in 2015 and has been working in three waters consulting and design ever since. She has a passion for stormwater management and guiding clients to designs that manage stormwater risks effectively, resulting in water sensitive outcomes that maintain the natural receiving environment and promote improved water quality.
Amanda has experience in three waters design in industrial, urban & residential environments. Her history in stormwater design is varied and includes masterplanning of improvements to existing urban areas, consenting of large and complex land use change, and upgrades to improve water quality compliance and management on industrial sites.
Her design expertise is well supported by her experience as Engineers representative, developing tender documentation and assessment, contractor engagement, as well as construction observation.
She has skill using a range of software for hydrological and hydraulic modelling of urban stormwater networks and natural catchments/channels. Her experience includes design of hydraulic structures and erosion protection measures, including bridge scour assessment.
Outside of work Amanda enjoys exploring the coast, reading, making things, and pushing the limits of coffee consumption.
