Éilis joined the Morphum Science team in 2025. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Applied Freshwater and Marine Biology from the Atlantic Technological University in Galway, Ireland in 2019. Following this she completed a Masters of Science in Environmental Leadership in 2020 from the National University of Ireland, Galway.
Éilis has a background in working for catchment groups where she assisted in wetland and riparian restoration, along with developing and carrying out environmental monitoring programmes. Éilis has extensive experience in ornithology, having worked as an ornithologist on wind farms and seabird colonies. In these roles, she conducted detailed surveys and monitoring of bird populations, focusing on understanding their behavior, habitat preferences, and migration patterns. Her work on wind farms involved assessing potential risks to local bird species and developing strategies to mitigate these impacts. Additionally, her work on seabird colonies included monitoring breeding success, working to protect vulnerable species from threats such as habitat disturbance and predation.
Outside of work, Eilis enjoys spending time by the sea, swimming, kayaking and surfing.
