Jason started with Morphum Environmental in 2023 after moving to New Zealand with the aim to learn from a space which encourages positive relationships between diverse habitats, the built environment and local cultures. He has experience in both private and public site design, infrastructure planning, drainage design and construction management.
Jason aims to support how infrastructure plays a role in positive interactions within and among communities. As an engineer at Morphum, he aims to apply his understanding of engineering and design to deliver positively impactful and efficient solutions.
Jason completed his Bachelor of Engineering in Civil and Environmental Engineering in 2021 from George Mason University in Virginia, USA with a speciality in land development and stormwater engineering.
Jason is from the indigenous American Maya Mam and Maya Yucatec communities and is passionate about growing his understanding of the nexus between sustainability, culture and critical infrastructure. He spends his free time exploring coasts and trails, attempting to cook new recipes and practicing guitar.
