Mark is a chartered engineer in three waters Asset Management and strategic planning with over 17 years of experience working on local government infrastructure (as client and consultant). This followed a career in aerospace that equipped him with a number of ways to approach complex problems.
He has a strong analytical and engineering background, but also has the ability to communicate technical matters to non-technical individuals at all levels that was further developed through his time working for Queenstown Lakes District Council. At QLDC he led a multi-disciplinary team managing the asset management of long-life infrastructure assets of $3bn+ value as well as the long-term infrastructure planning for one of the fastest growing districts in New Zealand.
Through his career Mark has developed competencies in asset management, hydraulic modelling, data collection and management, network master planning, catchment management planning, demand projections and communications.
Mark is based in the Queenstown area and has a passion for the outdoors and for improving/preserving the unique environment and way of life in Aotearoa/New Zealand.
