Rahul Ramesh joined Morphum Environmental as an Environmental Engineer with the engineering design team. He has a background in civil engineering and construction management, with a Masters degree in Civil Engineering (Endorsed in Construction Management) from the University Of Canterbury and Bachelors Degree in Civil Engineering from Amrita School Of Engineering in India where he gained an interest for courses like water and irrigation engineering, fluid mechanics and environmental engineering.

Rahul’s passion for sustainability and community building grew during his time at university where he actively participated in Live in Lab sessions during his semester breaks. These sessions involved volunteering with other batchmates to work on projects in neighbouring villages in India that helped improve the water supply across rural homes by designing basic modular water distribution systems and promote sustainable farming and irrigation practices. He has also been actively involved in beach clean-up drives during his time in India.

Rahul has professional experience in Oman and India where he worked as a graduate civil engineer and a sales engineer with a manufacturer and a private home building contractor. The experience helped him learn and develop his skills in civil construction, project administration, estimation and material procurement.

Rahul enjoys exploring New Zealand’s landscapes and going on Leisure hikes and scenic road trips. He loves exploring new cultures and cuisines and does a bit of Cricket scoring and analysis with cricket clubs during the weekend.
