The Mahurangi Regional Park protects three peninsulas including Te Muri Point. Continued growth in visitor numbers to the park meant a water supply upgrade was required to increase reliability of the supply to Te Muri Point, and to ensure the supply meets drinking water standards whilst also providing stock water to the working Te Muri farm. The recommended option utilised existing infrastructure, provided security of supply with increased storage and gravity fed reticulation, and separated the stock supply reducing the risk of contamination.
Morphum Environmental designed and supervised the construction of the water treatment, storage and reticulation upgrade to meet the current and future needs of the Regional Park.
